What Happened To Your Patient?

How often have you sat down and thought ‘I wonder what happened to Mr/s xyz?
They used to see you regularly and suddenly, they’ve disappeared.
You keep meaning to contact them but life and work take over and suddenly the days turn into weeks and months and you think it’s too late now. It’s a bit embarassing.
I bet you’ve got at least a few patients and clients on your CRM that you haven’t seen for a while. They may not need your help anymore. They may have forgotten all about you. They might even have gone elsewhere – zut alors!
And to not beat around the bush here, if they’ve forgotten about you and have gone elsewhere, you’ve only got yourself to blame (sorry, not sorry!).
Your most valuable asset is your patient list. Finding new patients is expensive and the patient list is often forgotten and left to die a slow lingering death when reviving this could produce some golden nuggets.
This year without a doubt, is going to be tricky for some. Not everyone though. But it’s likely that some people will have less cash to spend and that means less patients. This means there will be more competition to engage fewer new patients.
They already know you and have had a relationship with you so contacting them and reviving that list makes sense doesn’t it?
Put a few hours aside and look at your email list and send them an email. Perhaps an introductory offer to a new treatment or service you’re offering.
Some people will unsubscribe which is good. Why is that good? Well, they were never likely to come back to see you again anyway and you don’t have to waste any time contacting them again. It starts to clean up your list. Which is a good thing.
Next, look at the people that have opened and engaged with the email. Make another list of those and you can either send them another email, or better still? Pick up the phone and call them. Have a chat!
Find out why they didn’t come back to see you again or never ended up coming at all. This feedback is golden.
If you’re saying, but I’m busy. Where do you think I’m going to find the time to do this Wendy?
