Starting up a clinic from scratch can be daunting. With the right systems to support it, it doesn’t need to be.

In this article, we’ll look at a few of the systems that will support your clinic now and in the future. Systems that will set you up for success.

A good clinical system is paramount. This is not an area to scrimp on as this system will support your whole clinic. The appointments, the finance, forward planning and even your marketing. There are so many to choose from that it can be a confusing choice. Consider where you will be in 3 years time and purchase the right one for you in 3 years. Changing later on is time-consuming and expensive and buying the cheapeast will be a false economy.

Standard Operating Procedures

At the start of launching a clinic, there is no better time to start to systemise your operating procedures, clinical systems and processes. Again, documenting these later on will be time-consuming and they often get forgotten.

There are a number of systems that will keep your SOPs in one place. Available for new employees to understand how you work and follow your procedures to ensure your standards and values continue. In our business we use Way We Do. A simpler option is Manula or if the intention is to grow a larger business, then Sweet Process might be more appropriate.

Launching any new business is always exciting. Choosing logos, colours, branding, names are all important. With the right processes and systems in place at the start, your journey will be much smoother.
